She/Her, b.2000 (SE). I love ugly church paintings. Flat medieval faces with smug smiles, a horse as an egg on four legs, a red-cheeked cherub crying in heaven, a lion-fish eating someone's legs in hell. Clumsy attempts to approach something intangible, to give the chaos a place and the fear a face. This clumsiness of being human is something I relate to in my work, trying to balance on the line between harmony and discomfort, beauty and pain, strange and familiar and serious and fun. The work itself often takes shape in sound, video, performance and installation.
